Hello, my name is Otley Smith; I started O.L. Smith Contracting to bring better architectural design and quality construction to main stream America. I have been fortunate to have the support of great architects, designers and suppliers to help me in this quest.

I started building homes in 2000 with ex-business partner Chris Donaldson through our company Cromlech Custom Homes. During which time we received several awards to include the coveted HBA of CNM, Homes of Enchantment Parade “Buyers Choice”. Building in the $500K to $1.3mil has allowed me to hone my skills as a custom home builder.

It is my belief as a business man and a family man you must give back to your industry and your community. Through my volunteer work with Home Builders Association of Central New Mexico (HBA of CNM) I have been able to do both. Currently serving as HBA of CNM’s Second Vice President and slated to serve as President in 2010 I am able to participate in regulatory task forces and committees that help shape and guide our industry. My involvement in these committees not only keeps me educated in the latest building practices but I am also able to pass this knowledge on to my customers. Additionally, through HBA of CNM I am able to participate in community outreach programs like Home Builders Care. Home Builders Care gives to families in need and makes donations to charities such as The Women’s Housing Coalition through various fund raising activities through out the year.
